\u00cencep\u00e2nd cu 1 ianuarie 2024, institu\u021bia noastr\u0103 particip\u0103, \u00een calitate de partener, la implementarea proiectului DanubeSediment_Q2 de c\u0103tre un consor\u021biu format din 15 parteneri proveni\u021bi din 11 state europene, pentru o perioad\u0103 de 2.5 ani.<\/p>\n

Finan\u021bat prin Programul pentru Regiunea Dun\u0103rii 2021-2027, cu un buget total de 2.893.187,47 euro, din care 148.600 euro sunt aloca\u021bi activit\u0103\u021bilor I.N.H.G.A., proiectul \u00ee\u0219i propune s\u0103 ajute la \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birea managementului cantitativ \u0219i calitativ al sedimentelor din Dun\u0103re, astfel \u00eenc\u00e2t s\u0103 permit\u0103 atingerea c\u00e2t mai rapid\u0103 a obiectivelor de mediu prev\u0103zute de Directivele Europene.<\/p>\n

Transportul sedimentelor pe Dun\u0103re \u0219i managementul acestora reprezint\u0103 o problem\u0103 de importan\u021b\u0103 deosebit\u0103, care poate fi tratat\u0103 numai printr-o abordare transna\u021bional\u0103, av\u00e2nd \u00een vedere c\u0103 sedimentele nu cunosc grani\u021be administrative sau politice.<\/p>\n

Obiectivul principal al proiectului este \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birea managementului cantit\u0103\u021bii \u0219i calit\u0103\u021bii sedimentelor \u00een Bazinul Fluviului Dun\u0103rea, cu scopul de a sus\u021bine atingerea unei st\u0103ri ecologice bune, prin dezvoltarea unor m\u0103suri pilot \u0219i a unui Plan de Management Integrat al Sedimentelor pentru \u00eentregul bazin.<\/p>\n

Realizarea acestui obiectiv va permite, \u00een timp, atingerea unui regim echilibrat al sedimentelor \u0219i asigurarea continuit\u0103\u021bii acestora, contribuind, \u00een acest fel, la protejarea bazinului \u00eempotriva consecin\u021belor schimb\u0103rilor climatice.<\/p>\n

De asemenea, proiectul va oferi solu\u021bii pentru problemele comune identificate de-a lungul Dun\u0103rii de \u021b\u0103rile riverane privind modificarea transportului de sedimente, prin dezvoltarea unei noi abord\u0103ri integrate de gestionare a acestora, dezvolt\u00e2nd cinci componente inovatoare:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Monitorizarea combinat\u0103 a calit\u0103\u021bii \u0219i cantit\u0103\u021bii sedimentelor;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Dezvoltarea si utilizarea unei noi metode de evaluare hidromorfologic\u0103;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Dezvoltarea si utilizarea unei noi metode de evaluare a riscurilor;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Propunerea de m\u0103suri practice de gestionare a sedimentelor, testate prin studii de caz;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Realizarea Planului de management integrat al sedimentelor.<\/p>\n

Proiectul DanubeSediment_Q2 este sus\u021binut de Programul Interreg Danube Region \u0219i co-finan\u021bat de Uniunea European\u0103.<\/td>\n

DanubeSediment_Q2<\/strong> \u2013 An innovative action in the Danube River Basin regarding sediment management<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Starting from the 1st of January, 2024, our institution participates, as partner, in the implementation of the DanubeSediment_Q2 project, by a consortium of 15 partners from 11 European states, for a period of 2.5 years.<\/p>\n

Financed through the Programme for the Danube Region 2021-2027, with a total budget of 2,893,187.47 euros, of which 148,600 euros are allocated to N.I.H.W.M. activities, the project aims to improve the quantitative and qualitative management of sediments in the Danube, in order to allow the fastest achievement of the environmental objectives provided by the European Directives.<\/p>\n

The transport of sediments on the Danube and their management is a problem of particular importance, which can only be dealt through a transnational approach, considering that sediments do not take into account administrative or political borders.<\/p>\n

The main objective of the project is to improve the management of the sediments\u2019 quantity and quality in the Danube River Basin, with the aim of supporting the achievement of a good ecological status, through the development of pilot measures and a Sediment Integrated Management Plan for the entire basin.<\/p>\n

Achieving this objective will allow, over time, to reach a balanced sediment regime, and ensure their continuity, thus contributing to protecting the basin against the consequences of climate change.<\/p>\n

Also, the project will provide solutions for the common problems identified along the Danube by the riparian countries regarding the alteration of sediment transport, by developing a new integrated approach of their management, developing five innovative components:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Combined monitoring of sediment quality and quantity;<\/p>\n

\u2022Development and use of a new hydromorphological assessment method;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Development and use of a new risk assessment method;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Proposal of practical measures for sediment management, tested through case studies;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Elaboration of the Sediments Integrated Management Plan.<\/p>\n
